Another thing begins. While Eli and the Giants’ victory over the Patriots in Super Bowl XLII was more-than-impressive, I’m more excited about what the official conclusion of the 2007 season means; the 2008 off-season has arrived! Free agency, scouting, combine, trade talks, the draft, pre-season—oh, my!
In Rex We Trust
The Chicago Bears currently have five players of major significance slated to become unrestricted free agents on Feb. 29: quarterback Rex Grossman, wide receiver Bernard Berrian, linebacker Lance Briggs, guard Ruben Brown, and special teams player Brendan Ayanbadejo. The Bears probably either can not, or will not, bring back all five players. Rex Grossman is arguably the most needed. (more…)
